Lancelot Richardson

Lancelot (Lance) is one of our key tutors at Draw, running the popular Thursday tutored sessions 10am-12pm and Thursday 1pm-3pm and 7-9pm drop in mixed pose sessions - as well as weekend workshops in Drawing from the Imagination, Short Poses, and introductions to both Portraits and to Life Drawing. Lance is also the host of the weekly Tuesday evening Portrait Club at the Open House in Brighton.

What Lance says about his own work:
“I am an artist working across a variety of visual media including drawing, painting and printmaking. Life drawing forms a core part of my practise of observational drawing, that feeds into more imagined subject matter. I think the practise of drawing to be a wonderfully bottomless pit – there is always more to learn.”
