Acrylic Painting with Denise Harrison (6 week course)

Join us for this 6 week class and learn everything you need to know about painting with acrylic - suitable for those with experience in painting and beginners!

Six Tuesday mornings 10am - 1pm: 25th Feb, 4th March, 11th March, 18th March, 25th March, 1st April 2025

This popular 6-week course will lead you through the traditional painting subjects week by week, working through a variety of subjects under the expert guidance of Denise Harrison. Places are strictly limited and can fill up quickly, so make sure you book in advance.

What to expect

Over the 6 sessions Denise will guide you through approaches to tackling a different painting subject - landscape, still-life, figurative, portraiture and the abstract - working in acrylic paint. You will expand your understanding of colour use, paint application and composition while gaining a better understanding of how to use gels and mediums with acrylic paint.

In the final week, students will consolidate their learning and apply it to their chosen subject - completing a finished painting utilising all the techniques they have learnt. This course is suitable for beginners and improvers, with plenty of individual guidance and one-to-one support from Denise.

What you need to bring

All materials will be provided, including acrylic paint, mediums, paper, canvas & palettes. Easels, padded & backed chairs, drawing boards and small tables are provided for all students. You will need to bring:
