This full day workshop is a one-stop primer for beginners to get started with drawing. If you’ve never drawn before, or want to go back to basis, this friendly and relaxed workshop will introduce the core skills you need to start drawing with greater confidence.
Over the course of the day we’ll be working with a variety of different drawing media and subject matter. In the morning we will be looking at the basics of observational drawing, looking at how to observe line and shape and drawing from our immediate environment. After lunch we’ll loosen up with a more gestural approach, finishing the day with a short life drawing session.
All materials are included with this workshop. You may wish to bring a sketchbook for taking notes and a plastic folder for taking home your drawings. Easels, chairs, drawing boards and small tables are all provided on a first come-first served basis.
